Legislative Session Almost Over And…

The Maryland legislative session is almost over. With that in mind, they've pushed for outdoor dining with your pooch, raising taxes on spirits, ending the mandatory delivery of white pages, trying to give illegal immigrants in-state tuition...but what haven't they touched? Redistricting.

We're going to need a special session and at that point, whatever pro-Democratic incumbent redistricting the Governor helps throw at the legislature. Incumbents will benefit, especially Democratic incumbents. An open dialogue with the people and ensuring non-gerrymandered districts? Not going to happen. Republicans better be ready for a fight here or we will lose ground as what little ground we hold they try to rush it away in a new, gerrymandered map.
