Bongino endorsed by Mike Lee

US Senate candidate Dan Bongino has been endorsed by conservative hero and US Senator Mike Lee (R-UT). Here's the press release:

U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) announced today his endorsement of former United States Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino for U.S. Senate in Maryland.

"We can no longer afford the status quo," said Senator Mike Lee. "New people like Dan are truly needed to change the way Washington operates and stop the out-of-control spending and federal policies that stifle economic growth and job creation."

"As a party and as a movement, we must believe in the right candidate, someone with an unquestionable passion and a deep conviction that will transcend any political persuasion. I see those qualities in Dan and can't help but want to be part of his exciting campaign."

Dan Bongino served for over a decade in the United States Secret Service. While serving, he was a member of the elite Presidential Protection Division and represented the United States as a lead government security official in over 25 countries. Before leaving the service, Dan led an investigation that broke one of the largest fraud rings in Maryland's history. He holds graduate degrees in Business Administration and Neuropsychology. Dan lives in Severna Park, MD with his wife, Paula, and their daughter, Isabel. The family is expecting their second child early next year.

"I am both humbled and grateful for this endorsement," said Bongino. "Senator Lee and I share that the best government is a limited government; the best tax code is a fair tax code; and the best future for our country is a future that is not wasted or squandered by out-of-touch career politicians."

Elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010, Sen. Mike Lee has defended the nation's constitutional principles as general counsel to Utah's Governor, an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Salt Lake City, and a clerk in the U.S. Supreme Court. Sen. Lee and his wife, Sharon, live in Alpine, Utah with their three children.
