Poll of Christians: On Enoch
So Enoch’s life lasted 365 years. Enoch walked with God; then he was not there because God took him.
-Genesis 5:23-24, HCSB
After reading this passage - what do you believe happened at the end of Enoch's life? Did he ascend into heaven akin to Elijah? Did he just pass on? Or is something else happening to Enoch? Feel free to leave a comment on this interesting passage and interesting man.

And ?noch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. (Genesis 5:24 NKJV). That’s all we need to know – the scriptures are sufficient, not exhaustive, truth. Any answer other than what we are told is speculation; it may be solid speculation, based on other passages, but it is speculation none the less. We know all we need to know about this event.

I believe this is one of several ‘taking’ descriptions in Scripture.
Elijah 2 Kings 2:11
Jesus Acts 1:9
the Two Witnesses Rev.11:12
In each of these events, people were able to see them go.
I believe that , likewise, when the Rapture occurs, we in Christ shall be changed in a ‘twinkling’ (1 Cor.15:51), and made immortal and incorruptible.
Then we will rise, in plain sight of those who remain.
I don’t think the “Left Behind” books got it right with the instant disappearances.
Instant change, Paul said in Corinthians, but the examples are of public ascension.
